Highlights
What did you learn today?
We learned that some provinces (initially) did not want the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to be created.  We also learned about the fundamental freedoms that each Canadian citizen enjoys.
How did you show what you learned?
We continued to watch parts 2 and 3 in the video series 'Fundamental Freedoms'.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to learn more about the specific rights contained within the Charter.

We discussed a chart that listed all the responsibilities - many of them were evident in all three levels of government (like agriculture and transportation).

We examined and discussed an online interactive information site in class.

We need to find out who wins the presidential election.


The bombin of Pearl harbor changed the coarse of Author Yoshiko uchidas life. Uchida were born in alameda, california, on november 24, 1921.  like the character. in hur book The bracelet, she was place in an internment camp during Werld war II. Seperated from her Father, Yoshiko and her mother and sistre awaited the end of the war. Thru her writing, Uchida shares the Japanese american expeirence of her time.
