Highlights
What did you learn today?
We learned about the 'Great Migration' to Canada.
How did you show what you learned?
We shared some stories of family members that came to Canada during this period.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to learn about Chinese migration to Canada.


According to Native american legend, Crater lake in Oregon was formed in a greight battle be tween the god of the above world and the god of below. a more scientific explanashun suggests the lake was form by a volcanic eruption and the collapse of near by Mount Mazama. Explorers discovered the lake in there search for gold. Thay siad crater Lake was the blewest lake they ever seen. The area around the lake became a national park on may 22, 1902.

On June 26, 1959, president Dwight Eisenhower and Queen Elizabeth II dedicated the Saint Lawrence Seaway. The seaway is the worlds longist inland waterway. Ships are able to travel the seaway from Duluth, Minnesota, to the atlantic ocean, which is a total distance of more then 2,000 miles. More than 50 million tons of cargo moves along the seaway each year ships carry steel wood coal and much more.

We learned some new kinds of poetry (diamante, haiku, rhyming, etc.)

We looked at examples and then went outside to write some nature poems.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to edit our poems and begin publishing them next week.

We will require volunteers to walk there and back with us as well as supervising the small groups. We will leave here at 9:30 and will be back by 2:00.
