We learned how to have empathy for those people who did not wear costumes today.

We had a class discussion about the reasons some people chose not to wear a costume.

We need to be safe if we are going out this evening.

A Snowy, Wet, Fresh Air Friday.

Agenda:
1.  Please read for 20-30min. every day over the weekend.
2.  Practice your multiplication facts to 12x12 (5-10 min./day).
3. On Monday - Halloween - Parade in the afternoon (@ approx. 1:10pm).  Please bring your costumes on Monday, and you can get dressed in them at 12:45.

Some of us learned to shade with charcoal today.

We created an art piece that supported our Whispering Woods legend.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to share our legends and art piece with our buddies.

Highlights
What did you learn today?
We learned that people mistaken the red-tail hawk call for the bald eagle call and vice-versa. 
How did you show what you learned?
We learned these calls during our field trip today to Ralph Klein Park.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to review some of the environmental design principles that went into constructing the Environmental Education Centre (solar panels, limestone rocks, 'green roof', scrap board to make glue-lam beams, triple pane windows, etc.).

october is a good time to harvist pumpkins. thay can be used for many diferent porpose. Some are curved into jack-o’ lanterns, while others are backed into deserts and braeds. Teh great Native american leader, tecumseh, was born near Springfield, ohio, in March 1768. As cheif of the shawnee indians, tecumseh did not accept treatys that had taken land from Indians and give it to whites He was a powrful speaker who hopd all tribes would join together to save Indian land. Though he wanted piece, Tecumseh did not ruleout the use of force. He fought during the War of 18 and 12 and was killed on octobr 5 1813
