A Very Pleasant Fresh Air Friday!!

Highlights
What did you learn today?
We learned:
1. How to make bannock.
2. How to tie several knots.
3. About mapping.
How did you show what you learned?
We rotated to three different 'centres' to learn about each.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to apply some of this knowledge to our next 3 (final) FAFs.

A few of the knots we learned:


Bannock Recipe:


1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp vegetable shortening or butter
1 pinch of salt
1/4 cup water



Mix dry ingredients together. Add water. Knead dough. Pat into a flat square. Cook in oven at 450 for approximately 10-15 minutes. Serve with jam and butter.

The leaves of the gient amazon water lily can grow as large as 8 feet across. Have you ever see Wolffia, the worlds smalest flowering plants, in a pond lake, or stream. two full-size wolffia could fit inside a letter “o”!

When Jane Goodall arrived in tanzania at age 26. She was about to fulfil a dream. goodall longed to lern more then anyone else might hope to know about chimpanzees. Born on april 3 1934, her adventures into the african Jungle were most unique because she were a women. Her discoverys would amase the scientific world. She find that chimps striped leaves from twigs to use as tool and that they hunted and ate other animuls.
