November 12th, 2018.

Agenda:
1 - Continue to bring in your Food Bank items.  Thanks to all who have donated! 
2 -  Please go and vote in tomorrow's Winter Olympic Plebiscite - here's where to vote:  https://www.calgary2026.ca/en/how-to-vote/
3 - Cst. Rich will be here Wednesday.
4 - Fun Lunch is this Thursday - Mucho Burrito.
5 - Spelling Exercises - due Thursday.

We will begin our next math unit tomorrow - Estimation, Rounding, and operations of whole numbers.

November 9th, 2018.

Agenda:
1 - Continue to bring in your Food Bank items and you can still bring in your Poppy donations. 
2 -  Monday we will host our own Student Vote event about the upcoming Olympic Vote. Please come Monday as an informed electorate about voting Yes or No for the Plebiscite on Tuesday. Also, encourage your parents to get out and vote and ask if you can join them.  
3 - Cst. Rich will be here Wednesday -
4 - Fun Lunch is next Thursday - still time to order if you want - Mucho Burrito.

We will begin our next math unit next week - Estimation, Rounding, and operations of whole numbers. 


Learning Intention
We learned a lot about items being donated to the Food Bank. 
Common Items are: soups, Mac 'n' Cheese, canned meat and fish, canned fruits, juice.
Common Packaging: Cans
Some items needed to be taken out because of expiry dates and open packaging. One can of crab had a Best Before date of 2010! 
We learned that we are a very generous school as we have collected so many items already.

We discussed more of the 'Charter of Rights and Freedoms'.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to continue to learn about the remaining rights available to citizens.

A Chilly & Foggy FAF.

Agenda:
1. Math - Place Value booklet - pgs. 5-6 - due Monday.
2. Science rough draft of crime scene - due Mon. afternoon.

Highlights
What did you learn today?
We learned what it takes to make a map to scale.
How did you show what you learned?
We went out into Whispering Woods and measured the permimeter and the distances to various landmarks in metres.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to determine an accurate scale to draw a map of the Woods correctly.
