alameda, california, on november 24, 1921.
like the character. in hur book The bracelet, she was place in an
internment camp during Werld war II. Seperated from her Father, Yoshiko and her
mother and sistre awaited the end of the war. Thru her writing, Uchida shares
the Japanese american expeirence of her time.
